Pandora's Casket

We were hit with a pretty big storm yesterday. Winds, snow and very cold. There were times that you could barely see across the street into the corn field it was blowing snow so hard.

The one thing that made me the most nervous was that Trevor was working last night. He did call to tell me that he was working an extra few hours because the third shift could not get out onto the roads for work it was that bad. What he did not tell me is that on the way to work he slid off the road into a ditch and some wonderful driver came back and towed him out.

That has been one of my biggest worries at night this year. Him being out on those darn country roads in the bad weather. He and his friend were fine but the exhaust pipe was a little crunched up. He told me the story at 5 or 6AM as I waited downstairs for him to get home.

At least he didn't need moving services or a tow truck to bring his Blazier home! Luckily he has the weekend off and if the weather is like this on Monday he is calling in not to work. Which is a major relief for me!

It has been nearly 8 months at least since I have been on the pursuit of the perfect red purse. I have seen literally hundreds and nothing struck me as the 'one'.

Now this is not a life threatening ordeal or anything like looking for one of those no medical exam life insurance agents, it has been like a quest of sorts.

Finally, by chance I found the one perfect red purse. It had everything and more that I was looking for. I am so excited about that but there is one problem. Now I have to find the perfect red shoes to go with it!

The quest is on again!

Since a little after Christmas I have been waiting for a package to be delivered. Since there was a problem somewhere it was delayed and then delayed again. No big deal really but the anticipation is building.

I am really looking forward in trying what is called the electric cigarette that will arrive this week. Although it is not sported as a stop smoking device I have been reading many people's experiences with the item. Sounds so very positive!

Should be here this week and that is very exciting news!

The boys have been sharing a PS2 for about a year now. It would have worked out OK except Colton the 15 year old took over. His persona over this game system turned out to be like a Gestapo agent.

Policing every action that Nick does with the system and games started fights. Not just simple fights but near blows that are just not appropriate. Especially over games.

Finally I decided after one evening of watching the two of them that another system for Nicky should be purchased. Now, he has all the games and such so that is not the issue here. A system was purchased just for him to use in my room as I do not use my TV very much.

At first I thought about buying a wii but then the idea of all the games that would be purchased took that idea away quickly.

Now it is peaceful. Colton downstairs on his unit and Nicky upstairs on his unit. Peace will be short lived as they will find something else to war over. haha
