Thanksgiving was not all that bad this year. Actually it was pretty good much to my surprise.

The best part is that it snowed! I won the bet. I said it would snow on thanksgiving and it did! Trev was like darn it. haha

At first it was a little then later it really came down. Right now I guess it is snowing again. Wanted snow and poof there it is.

All the recipes turned out good. I think that most of the sides we should have all year round and not wait until once a year. hint hint BEANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I am pooped, cold and have one more thing to do before I can lay in bed and fall asleep. haha

Can you believe that spring training is nearly here? One of our favorite teams is the Yankees and when we can we watch them on tv.

My son has been asking and asking to at one point go to one of the Yankees Spring Training Schedule tickets. Now this has been going on for the past three years or so. Usually the schedule does not match my work or his school schedule but guess what?

I was looking at the schedule and there is one time and place that we can actually go to! There is one in Ohio at the end of April and on a weekend. Since we live in Indiana, Ohio is our neighbor. I am not telling him that I am purchasing three tickets extra. The two extra will be for two of his closest friends.

I can not wait to see the look on his face when he hears this news! I want to get the seats in section 113. One reason they are 2nd row from the field.

Why also would I spend this kind of money? This will be his graduation present into entering into high school!

What to do with those turkey left overs? Especially after like a day or so when the novelty of sandwiches is nearly gone. You now are down to the bottom and do not want to waste it. So what the heck to do that everyone will eat and not groan "NOT again!"

ingredients

2 (8oz) packages angel hair pasta
1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup sliced onion
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
1 (4.5oz) can sliced mushrooms
1 pound cooked turkey, sliced


Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook for 4 minutes, or until almost tender. Drain.
2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion; cook and stir until tender. Stir in the flour until blended, then gradually stir in the milk so that no lumps form. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Remove from the heat and add 2/3 cup cheese, stirring until cheese melts. Add undrained mushrooms to cheese sauce.
3. Place a layer of pasta in the bottom of a 9x13-inch bking dish. Cover with a layer of turkey, and then a layer of cheese sauce. Repeat layers. Sprinkle remaining 1/3 cup cheese over top.
4. Bake for about 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until sauce is bubbly and cheese on top is toasted.

Starting December 7th and 8th, and every first weekend of the month you can visit some great exhibits and listen to exciting music!
First Friday Weekend Art Walk in St. Augustine, Florida opens their art doors the public for free. There you are able to see some of the artists work, take free tours and of course listen to some really good music.

I think that it would be so much fun to be able to go from the various events by riding on the trolley. I know that my children would certainly be entertained! Not to mention there is only a 15 minute wait time in between the rides! Oh, I nearly forgot the cost! It is FREE. Yes, free. Now who would pass up a fun chance to ride on the trolley and for no charge?

There are various artists and musicians that will be appearing. I noticed that some of the paintings and other works will be displayed by famed Sydney McKenna. If you have not seen this artists work, well this is the time to view it in all glory!

I know that the main thing that I would love to see during this time would be at night. During this time it is called the Festival of Lights. And looking at the pictures for the My goodness it looked absolutely breath taking to say the least. Since pictures only show a partial of how an event looks I am betting that the way the lights look at night will be even more beautiful than being seen.

The event runs from 5pm-9pm so just think you finally have something fun to do with the entire family! This is definitely the type of event that the entire family can enjoy. Bringing a little culture into the children's lives by showing them art produced by people that live or lived in St. Augstine. Who knows it may even spark an artist in your group!

Go to their site to see the on going events calendar which goes all the way through 2009. That was a little surprising to me to see so you know they are serious about the way they are promoting their selves and all the upcoming events.

The parade is over. The house is clean. The last minute shopping has been finished. AND the turkey is in the oven.

They are saying that there is snow on the way. Yea Yea Sure wish that would happen. But I doubt it very much

Guests will be arriving in a few hours so I can relax and do nothing. Sales are up today so far. Did not expect any at all and there have been. That is a good thing though so I am not complaining at all!

Tonight I will prepare all the sales paper for tomorrow to work. Maybe haha

Well, I think I will mosey on off and find something to do that does not take any brain power
