We went to Munice the other day. Of course going with Norm is always an experience especially with the way he drives. He will be driving along on the side of the road, swivering in front of people or slamming on his breaks. You know the type of driver you need to keep your rosary with you at all times type. Just a normal, seeing your life in front of your eyes drive to Muncie.
He spent the majority of the time complaining because my daughter was complaining. Yea, you figure that one out. Or he was whining like a very old woman. Drove me crazy.
Deciding to go to this place to eat he pulls in. It was clear to all that was in the vehicle he was going to side swipe the parked vehicle. Jamie and BB both said whoa and you are going to hit the car before I could even get it out. I was sitting there seeing the car way to close. At the time he says No I am not...Bam. Slide. Swipe. Grind. Yes, he hit the car. His vehicle raised up much like hitting a curb and then it was just the metal sound of sliding by it.
My first thing I said was Well you are going to leave a note? He laughs and says no. I was picking my jaw up off the ground and asked again if he was joking. No he was not.
The car was a new car owned by elderly people. As the restaurant was filled with seniors it was not hard to figure that out at all. Looked like they were all on
Vegas vacations taking a break. He did not mention to anyone in there nor leave a note.
He thought it was funny and that there was no damage. He had scratches and the other car had a crunch. He tells my son, Colt it was OK to do. That was when I got pissed off. I am trying to instill to the children to be responsible and do the right things. Accept when you do something wrong and pay the costs. He is instilling to scam when you can. Needless to say Norm and I got into a small debate over this in front of Colt. As I proceeded to tell him he was a lousey parent in teaching the boys it is OK to break the law no matter what the law is.
People that do this is one of the many reasons our rates are high. And they do not see that they are doing wrong. Teach your children that no matter how little the damage to do the right thing and leave a note.
Oh, then Norm turns around and says that he is going to contact his insurance company about being hit in the parking lot. Followed by this:
Cha Ching....Payday again
