Teach A Dog New Tricks
Pandora @ 17:19
With the economy the way that it is many people are switching jobs or beginning to think about taking courses in new areas to upgrade the skills that they have or maybe learning new ones in order to get a better paying job. One ting that most do not have is a lot of time. With work, family or maybe both it leaves little to no time in attending classes in a real time class room setting. Now there is an option that you can begin the Elearning way.
Taking free courses that you choose for you. There are many to choose from and the best part, besides they are free, is that you attend when you have the time to do so.
I looked at the business section and there were many courses of interest that I plan on taking. Brushing up on skills even for a small business owner is a good thing to do. Never hurts to keep those skills up to date.
You can even take a skill test to see where you are at in the different sections that are available. This way you know exactly what point you are at taking the guess work out of it.
So if you want to take course to gain a new job, get an advancement or just brush up on skills that you have this is really the place to go.
There are free and paid courses available to one and all. You do need IE6 or higher for the classes. OH! You can even start your own course and teach it if you have the right skills. By doing this you are able to earn a little extra cash as well by doing this.
Take the time to check out the site!

AMT Warning
Pandora @ 17:09
For those that know what AMT is this is for you. There are a lot of great opportunities there to make money. Easy and fast at times. While other tasks are a bit more laborious. It depends on what you want to do and how much you want to make. But beware of who you take those tasks for.
Since the main company has released their selves of any and all liability you are really on your own. If you choose the wrong one to work with you will be out time, money and your percentage is lowered if rejected of the work.
That is what happened the other day. Doing a total of 15 tasks, a total of $15 for less than a half hour I thought it was OK. The tasks were fairly easy, a little skum ballish but whatever. Green is green. Then al of a sudden I see reject, reject and yes reject. I write the douche and say WHY? No answer. 15 rejects later and my percentage has dropped and since the work was rejected well kiss that money bye bye.
I contacted the company and turned them in. Seems that the work that was being done was against the TOS for the host company yet they could and would not do anything. Saying they 'might' look into it. I did notice that the company offering the bogus tasks are now gone. Was my rejects wiped clean as it was not my fault? Oh heck no. I am pissed.
Anyway if you are doing the AMT just read what the company wants you to do very carefully.

Why Wait? Demand It!
Pandora @ 16:54
As you are rushing about doing the things that need to be done a thought might run through your head that if you don't hurry and finish you might just miss your favorite show. Missing a part or all of it can be maddening when you really like the show and look forward in watching it.

Happy Samhain To All
Pandora @ 16:14
Samhain will be here before we know it. Looking in the stores, of course, it has been here since September. All the ghostly and ghastly decorations that will adorn so many homes!
I must admit that I am guilty of purchasing those trinkets. I love this event, actually it is a holiday in our family. We celebrate this as most celebrate Christmas. With decorations, lights and thoughts of the past loved ones deceased, we celebrate with great love and a lot of fun.
The decorating bug bit me. Slowly but surely by Halloween night this home will have every possible decoration hung up and in view. I am like a child during this time.
I have to say that I am a "winter" child so this month begins the time of year when I have the most energy. I savor the start of my "New Year". Each night I light the candles for the deceased that have gone before us and think of the wonderful times that we had. After all this is their month as well as mine.
I will as years passed set the table with the plates for the spirits and have the chairs ready for their comfort. I practice the "Old Ways" of ours in paying homage. It is a wonderful month that starts the holiday season off on the right foot.
Warming our home with candles in the evening leaves all with a welcoming sense of "home". There is one candle that is burning during the day and night to guide those departed to our home. This is a very old practice in our family and hopefully one of my children will keep it going long after I am gone. I would like to add that when I am away from the home, for safety reasons, I use a light that is designed for Samhain. Upon returning the candles are lit.
This is the start of the New Year for us. May this holiday bring all the love, hope and happiness that you, fair reader deserves.
Now, that I have sent my greeting to you all, I have to hang a skeleton over the entry way door.
