Pandora's Casket

This New Year will be a quiet one that is for sure. There will be no party, no going out. The weather is supposed to be pretty bad so a nice quiet evening will be had here.

By staying in I figure it is safer and much more sane than going out in bad weather with all the crazy people out there. Maybe I will do a comparison on the guaranteed issue term life insurance policies out there to see if the one I have measures up to other firms.

Or I might just watch a good movie and bug the kids. That sounds a lot better to me actually.

Christmas has come and gone. Sure seemed to go fast but in a way I am glad. Our holiday was actually better than we had thought that it would be.

We did our normal Christmas Eve which was a lot of fun and laughs. Nicky was the Santa and was just lobbing presents at people. He was stacking all his gifts on the couch and at the end of the night it was decided that he and Jeremy were the top gift earners this year. Every year there is one person that is the winner. haha

I think that next year we might have to hire business plan consultants in order to see who is the winner with the new baby that will be here by then! haha

All and all it was great holiday.

Today was the official planning day to get everyone on the same page as to what we are doing. Although even with telling everyone it never really works out that we are all on the same page.

Today was the times for Christmas Eve that we would be eating dinner and opening presents. Since Trev may have to work we will be waiting for him to get home so we can open presents. That should be around 1145-12:00PM.

Of course we will eat dinner at the same time. Can't wait till then to eat that is for sure!!! I am hoping that he gets at least a half day off to come home early. Otherwise we will be up waiting on the great new discount rugs that I found the other day at new store we found.

Not many days left that is for sure. Still baking, wrapping and decorating to do! Never ends that is for sure.

The past couple of days here has been absolutely miserable. Not as miserable as it will get but nonetheless miserable. The weather started with the freezing snow that hit. Ice was every where and then it happened.

What we call the 'Bad Winds' hit. The wind was like ice and blowing 50-60 miles per hour. Yesterday the temps dropped to the point that no matter what you felt cold. Needless to say with weather like this it is like taking an appetite suppressant due to the fact that all you want to do is be warm and eating is not on the agenda at all.

This morning the front door seal was frozen shut and the boys could not get out. Luckily we have the back door. haha I ended up getting it to open with pulling and use of a knife. Oh and a lot of swearing which I know was the main ingredient in the opening of the door.

Sun is shining outside but that is so deceiving. It is cold as hades out there!

The other day I watched the movie with Travolta and Williams; Old Dogs. I had read a review on it and truthfully the review said it was terrible.

The movie had its cute moments and I did find myself laughing at both mens antics. They do work great together. After the movie ended I was torn on was it good or bad. It's not one of those movies that I would tell people to run out and see or buy but I would say if you get the chance to see it do so with an open mind. It's a Disney movie for goodness sake! What can you expect?

I thought it was cute. Had its moments of being stupid but it was a feel good movie. Maybe that is why the critics panned it. They didn't want to feel good.

Well, right now it is so darn cold here and seems like every where. Although right now our coldest will be on Thursday which the temps will dip down into 16 degrees. Now that is not the coldest we get by far but it is enough to see that and shiver with cold just thinking about that coming our way.

We had snow the other day. Not a lot but enough to coat the ground. Looked rather pretty in the morning. The best part was around 4 am and the snow was coming down. That looked so awesome in the lamp light outside.

Today it was the bad wind that was blowing. It hits the house and upstairs feels like ice no matter how warm you have it.

Just darn cold is all right now and colder on the way.
