Recently I received a product to review and I was more than skeptical. It is called the expunge spongue . Now, this product is supposed to clean various hard to clean surfaces etc.
Taking it out of the package it has absolutely no scent, no different feel to it absolutely nothing to give the impression that it can actually clean.
I am here to say that this item DID in fact clean well over any expectations I could have had. My sink was nasty with stains. It's an old sink as we are renovating our kitchen and no matter how clean you think it is it's not. What is not shown was the brown that was in the sink. I cleaned it and it actually cleaned the stains without ANY elbow work at all. I was stunned.
I used the product without gloves and there was no stinging or any pain like some cleansers out there.
I will tell you that this is the product to purchase for hard to get out stains. Sure made a believer out of me!
Everyone that knows me knows I love my shoes. I have so many shoes and purses that really I do not need any more but who cares! haha
The other day in my email I received a sale from one of the shoe stores that I purchase from. One of the first things I saw was a pair of knee high black leather boots. It was love at first site! No, they were not Dr Weil shoes but I HAD to go look at them.
Imagine my surprise when I located them and they were $899! I nearly had a heart failure!. My last boots I purchased was around $200 but $900??? It would be OK if they were to be seen but they would be under pants, plus I am not going to pop that for boots.
It was a short lived love affair with these boots that is for sure. I did go back today and looked at them again. Heavy sigh, some things are just not meant to be. On the bright side they might go on sale in the winter!!
I have been begging, nagging and bribing Nick to please come up with an idea for a Samhain costume. Has he? Nope not at all.
He has said silly things like a professional horseback rider and that he would need equestrian clothing to go a long with that. Oh OK, NO!
The other day he was doing this and I said OK, here's the deal no ideas for a costume I have two that you can be. A garbage pail with garbage hanging out (Jamie's idea) or a clothes basket with dirty clothes all over it. You should have seen his face! Like I told him nobody would have his costume and he would be unique. haha He is now really thinking about a costume!
Time is ticking away. I smell a garbage pail kid in the making.
With everything that we have to do this weekend Trev put in his list as well. He wants to go over all his policies that he has to make sure that they are all what he really needs.
So that means a good hour or more going over his life insurance policy, car insurance, medical & dental insurances as well. We do this once a year but there again I thought there was more time to do this in. He really needs to learn to read these things instead of just paying them! haha Sure would save me a lot of hair pulling when I am trying to explain something to him and he is making jokes the entire time.
For some reason I had thought there were a few more days left in September. I looked at my calendar and it sunk in that tomorrow is the last day of the month! Where in the heck did the month go? I know that it was filled with things that we did and work but boy it flew by!
Last night Jamie was telling me about some plan that with hydroponic systems that he wanted to look into. I just sat there and nodded by head because I have no clue as to his next project. Hopefully I nodded yes to the right things otherwise who knows what will pop up in the back yard. haha
Now for sure I have to get into the storage closet and pull those Samhain deco's out! Plus I have a couple of projects still in the works but I think that will take an hour so to do.
I hope that October takes it lazy time in passing by us and not be as quick as September.
Now that Shay has a pretty good job she is thinking about saving money to go back to school. She has been talking about looking for healthcare jobs but knows that a diploma will help her land the perfect career.
I think that would be so fitting for her to get into this area of study and work. She should look into being a pediatric nurse really. She has the personality for that! Whatever she decides she will do a great job!
Ever watch late night TV? All those info commercials, dating and Mesothelioma lawyer seem to pop up making late night TV super dreary.
My personal favorites are the talk lines. All those super hot chicks and guys talking on the phone asking you to call them now! You know darn well that most of the people on there do not look like that at all!
Not to mention how many whack jobs are on there waiting for the witless person that may need an attorney later!
Some of the commercials do make me laugh though. Just wish there were less of them on!
One thing that I have found useful during the holiday season is starting to market before it hits. I started this with Samhain and 3/4's of my regular customers have purchased their yearly kits in advance.
For Christmas I will start to send out the business postcards all pretty and decorated with the holiday scenes offering a certain percentage off their purchases. That way they are reminded of the products in the store and they will receive money off.
The cost of the cards is minimal but the rewards is wonderful! They will receive reminders that Yule is on the way and to purchase their kits soon.
Holiday pre planning is a necessity to increase your profits during the season.
