Pandora's Casket

We are on a cold snap here. In the low to mid 60's and next week will get even cooler. Am I complaining? Nope not at all! With last week being in the 90's it is a welcome relief!

This weekend I will be getting out the Halloween decorations and winter clothes. I need to sort out the things that will not be worn which is a big job. I will put away the summer clothes, save a few out but the mass will be gone!

One thing that I am so looking for to wearing and that are my snow boots ! I love those so much. They look so nice with my jeans and the insulation inside is warm and comfy!

Going to be a busy weekend with the sorting that is for sure.

The other night an odd smell filtered up to my room. For the life of me I could not place it at all. Usually it is the incense that Trev burns in his room after he buys a bunch. But this time it was not.

It wasn't that it smelled bad it just smelled a bit like like chocolate but a burnt chocolate. Finally I had to get up and investigate what it was. Come to find out one of his friends had given him chocolate cigars and he wanted to see what they were like.

Thankfully he didn't like them and said no more burning them! haha After that I had the desire for something chocolate! I put the desire on hold and went back to bed. haha

I found some of the most perfect table cloth material the other day. It is absolutely perfect for what I want. What is even better the material is on sale!

I have a hard time finding table cloths that I really like. Or the cost is out of this world. Which has led me to make my own.

I have wanted a Christmas plaid table cloth and all the ones that I have found are on the ugly side. This material has a shine to it which will look so pretty with the lights from the one tree on it.

I started looking for a special material for an animal character that I want to make for Jeremy and Duncan both for Christmas. They will enjoy it and it is especially for their ages!

I would have like to have waited for Cyber Monday deals at redenvelope for a few of the supplies but with the rate I do things I had to act fast!

I can not wait to get started on the gifts for them and the table cloth!

Seems that the end of the season garage sales are now upon us. We really didn't go to many this year at all.

Last weekend we went to a few and I ran into one that was so great I was amazed! I purchased a slew of things from material to patterns that all were in near mint condition. It was like Christmas time! The bad thing is that I have to take all the pictures and put them in the store. The patterns are all ready to go but just to find the time when I want to do it!

There were people out looking to buy mattresses which I find a little on the nasty side if you saw the ones that I did! But if you don't have the money then a garage sale is OK.

I am hoping that either this weekend or maybe the next we might hit another good one! The last one like this was nearly two years ago so I am thinking I am set for another two years. haha

In over 6 years my family and I have not had a group vacation. I think that the closest we had was when we traveled the 2600 miles on the road to move here in Indiana. And by no means was that a truly enjoyable time at all.

We work, we work and work some more. If we have planned a trip something seems to happen, especially with the house repairs that will take the funds away from a nice trip.

I was looking at Outer Banks and the ocean and realized how much we all miss the ocean. Being from California it is hard to understand that you tend to love the beach and the peace that you get from being there. My family sure could use a little peace sometimes.

The homes that are available by Carolina Designs in the Outer Banks are beautiful to say the least. I would love to stay there with my family and frolic on the beach. Especially taking my youngest sons and grand children!

The area is filled with things to do. The Wright Brothers Museum, The Wild Horses of Corolla and the Lost Colony are a few day trips that can be taken other than staying on the 90 miles of beautiful beaches in North Carolina!

Maybe someday we will be lucky enough to go there! If we did we would certainly use Southern Shores rental for a house to stay in!

With the holidays coming up sooner than I think we are ready for I have made the decision not to send any and I mean any holiday cards out. Personally, it is a waste of time and money.

I figure that those people that sent cards last year that did not receive one from us will not send one this year

A better way is to send an e-card if you really feel the need to send anything at all. Although i won't open them as many of the sites that have these services have hidden viruses in the cards. I will see that you did that, smile and delete. Oh, I might send one back to you. Might, no promises though!

I am glad that a lot of people share the same feelings as I do. Anyone that I would normally talk to will get a personalized email wishing them a happy holiday.

Oh, and if you feel the need to really send a card, please be sure to send money inside as an inconvenience fee for my having to open it!

One thing that drives me crazier than I already am is hearing Norms voice and his talking about his loosing weight. He went on and on about the fastest way to lose belly fat and all I could do was sit and think 'stop eating so much' as I nodded my head in agreement.

If he would only eat the right foods which does not include the food groups of: cookies, chips, candy and soda(to him it is a food) maybe throw in a little exercise he might, just might loose weight.

Knowing him he won't. You know the saying about a fool and his pudding will soon be parted-that is Norm for sure!

The other day Shay made me laugh so hard. She was looking at her face and pointing out wrinkles. Now, there is no wrinkles there since she is a mere 22 but you have to humor her!

I told her that maybe just maybe she should invest in a really good and expensive wrinkle remover cream! The look was priceless

Seriously, she has nothing on her face at all! To even imagine them there is hysterical to say the least. But at least she has some names of the most expensive creams on the market if and when she does need it! hahaha
