Pandora's Casket

Well, Norm had the kids this past weekend and upon returning them he was just filled with complaints. I had planned on being upstairs as I usually am so I miss his visits but this time I was caught.

His rant besides being broke was about information he received about life insurance to cover your mortgage and how much it costs. He went on and on about this. Everyone sat there with a blank look and eyes all glazed over. Listening to his money woes can make a spirit face and run towards the light.

After about ten minutes of this he went on about other things that to tell you the truth I have no idea as to what he was talking about. All I heard was 'And my neighbor, blah, blah, blah' while he was talking.

You know I do not think I have ever known anyone complain as much as he does about everything.

eBay is infamous for sending sellers that have stores with them newsletters about the holidays starting in September. They have some great ideas mixed with some pretty lame ones as well.

Starting November 1st. I will begin inclusions of the fliers pointing out not only the repeat buyer discounts but the promotion of certain items that are Yule related. The Yule kit, incense and oils are the hot seller for either the individuals and for gift giving as well.

I would love to be able to offer custom water bottles with the store site and name on it at some point but that is in the future. The next prom item is a sampler oil and a pen with the store name and location. Plus a handy dandy business card with the repeat buyer discount imprinted on them. Works very well!

Planning for the holiday sales is a real pain but it can lead to a lot of great sales as well.

The past few days has certainly felt like Fall weather. A few nights has even been cold enough to have my mattress warmer blaring.

Jamie has been working on finishing up or starting certain projects that has to be done before the winter weather hits us. One thing that he has been doing is winterizing the wood stove and moving onto replacing the Chimney Pipe and cleaning everything out.

Not a great job to be doing as everything turns black with the soot. By the time he gets done with the stove it will be in tip top condition for another winter!

California in the seven year quest to get Equal Rights for Pagans.

Rev. Patrick McCollum is currently engaged in federal litigation in the US
9th Circuit (McCollum, et al. v. CDCR, et al., C 04-03339 CRB) challenging
the California Department of Corrections' "Five Faiths" policy which
recognizes only five major world religions for inclusion in California's
prison chaplaincy program.
