Pandora's Casket

This was one of the best Yule's I think we have had in a long time. Filled with ups and downs but ended up with everyone getting what they wanted, a lot of joking and a lot of love filling the house.

I think one of the best gifts that was received was the one that came from personalcreations.com xmas stocking collection for Duncan and Jeremy. Actually my daughters loved it and the grand babies will in a few years! haha

The gifts were wonderful and the food was great also! I think this year everyone got a lot of the things that they had on the lists that wished for and a few added surprises as well.

My kids all bought me some really great gifts that I am loving!!! They all went in together and bought me the special sewing machine I wanted which I cannot wait to play with! Great gifts this year that is for sure!

Tonight I am going to relax and just watch movies. Since I have a few days off I am going to relax and play with my new toys!

This holiday I had a few projects that I wanted to finish. Luckily I only have one more to do which I am truly proud of myself in keeping my project deadlines!

Tonight I made a Poinsettia wreath that is now hanging in the kitchen. In the middle of the wreath hangs a red script writing Merry Christmas. It is bright and sparkly! With the lights blinking all over the kitchen this wreath just adds more sparkle!

One of the hardest things that I thought would take forever and a day was the stove top trivet. I had purchased Yuletide colors from a local glass mosaic tile company in order to complete. I had to take care in creating this as the material was expensive and putting the pieces together for the Santa picture was more difficult than I had first thought it would be. Finishing it up with a dark iron like material to hold it all together. Not to bad looking if I do say so myself!

My last projects is the girls aprons. I figure that they will be finished just in time for our Yule bake day that we have each year!

I made a few other little things this year as well like a table runner with Santas and candy canes for the table in the Great Room. So cute!

By the time this holiday is over it will be time to plan the projects for next year!!

In less than 2 weeks the big day will be upon us. Right now it is the last few things to get finished in order to have a picture perfect holiday.

One thing that at first was laborious and that was the choosing of the right Yule card to send out. I wanted two cards that seemed to fit. One for friends and family and the other for those special customers and vendors that I work with on nearly a day to day basis.

Since our house is half traditional and half New Age the cards had to be neutral in nature. The business cards had to be the same so as not to mis-lead anyone. It was really a hard task to located something that would soothe those concerns.

As you can see by the picture I found cards that you are able to personalize that have the spirit yet will appeal to one and all. For the business line I chose the New Year cards as shown as these were fitting and I just loved the colors of the whites and blues. Since I had been sent samples the stock paper that would be used was light weight yet still had the expensive feel to it.

I adored the round card that this firm has. How unique is that? Reminding me of a Yule bulb for the tree!
Sending out Christmas Cards can be a very crazy time yet this year it was very simple to choose with so many types and styles of cards that were available.

This year I am excited to send the cards out. Not only do they look super good but I am sure that everyone will love them in return! I know that next year I will more than likely return to choose more cards.

A couple of us were talking last night about how some people in the occult world are super paranoid. I mean not just suspicious just out and out paranoid.

They seem to think that everyone or everything is ready to attack them. Blaming this group or that person for all the things that happen to them. I laugh at hearing that they might get a 'weird' feeling and it is the fault of Joe Demon over there. Maybe it is just them being paranoid.

I can understand if they were told to watch their backs or something like that but come on not everyone is going to go around psychically attacking you! Then again all that is needed is the power of suggestion for the feelings to occur.

Take a breather and go relax in a nice soak in a jacuzzi for a bit. Maybe this will clear your head of all the silliness in thinking that people are out to get you. haha

But a lot of those Pagans, Wiccans, Satanist and even Christians act and feel paranoid a time or three. It is not just limited to a spiritual or religious path either but right now that is what came up here. haha

Thirteen more days till the big day. Fourteen if you want to really be technical. We have our main Yule traditions on the Eve so the 25th is just an open the main gift, cook and clean up day here.

I have yet to start wrapping gifts, finish decorating or even make a baking list. So now it is a matter of squeezing as much things to do in a small amount of time.

Last night I stayed up way to late working in order to clear my desk for the weekend only to wake up to a slew of new orders sitting there waiting for me to moan at. At least I can put most of those off till Monday to finish up and start. haha

Today I will sit down and figure out the best way to attack all that needs to be done! I still have to find one last gift for Trev. He wanted specific Polaris Accessories for when he and his crew go out on the atv's. Hopefully I will be able to locate and have them delivered in time.

Can you believe that the end of year is almost here?? I am just shocked at how fast this year has flown by.

I can't complain really it was a good year so far. Everyone has had their health and of course Mr. Personality was born.

The worst part is that Trev wants me to look into auto insurance companies to make sure that he is getting the best deal. I just wish that he would learn how to do these things on his own. haha

Other than that everything has been all good in most areas here. Let's just hope that the coming year is even better or equally as good as this year!
